180 days ago, I decided to embark on a journey I wasn’t sure I’d finish. Without a ringlight, an aesthetic background, and a quality microphone, I started the ‘Unfiltered With Ria’ series with the goal of creating content every day for 180 days.
I’d seen it somewhere on the streets of X that I didn’t need fancy equipment to create content. Just my camera and sunlight. So, I decided to test it. Perhaps this move would make me finally stay consistent with sharing my knowledge.
I made my Day One video and shared it. Friends rooted for me in the comment section. Day two, same thing. Day three, Day four, five, 10…
I got the cheers I needed to keep going. But along the way, everywhere became silent.
My comment sections only had one or two voices. My views were low. My follower count stopped increasing. Yet I kept going until I finally reached the most anticipated day—Day 180.
How did I achieve that?
How was I able to continue creating videos for six months without missing a day or quitting along the way?
Seven words:
I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE JOURNEY.
I began to enjoy the process of creating videos so much that even when I felt tired, I’d still get up from my bed and do it.
At a point, completing this challenge felt like a promise, or rather a debt, I owed myself. “You’re doing this for you, Victoria.” I’d say to myself. “Not the imaginary audience, but for you. So keep going.”
And so did I.
Even when my phone broke down on day 99, I kept creating. It was a promise to myself I had to fulfill.
And now that I have finally fulfilled that promise, I want to show you how to keep all the promises you’ve made to yourself, too.
Your promise might not be consistent content creation
It might be staying consistent with a new hobby, writing your book, taking a course, starting the gym, learning a new skill, or running your business.
Whatever it is, the challenge is always the same:
Starting is easy. Continuing is hard.
That’s why I wrote this guide.
In A Lazy Guide on How to Be Consistent With Anything, I share the lessons I learned from showing up every single day for 180 days, even when motivation disappeared and results weren’t forthcoming.
And the tips I share apply to anything so long as it involves the art of creating or goal-setting.
Inside the guide, you’ll learn:
→ Why you should ditch the audience and focus on you
→ How to detach from the outcome and fall in love with the process
→ How overthinking is simply your brain overestimating the task and underestimating your potential
→ How to discover ideas from ordinary things around you
…and several other practical principles I tested, used, and still live by.
These are not theories. They’re lessons from actually showing up every day even on the days when it felt pointless.
So, if you’ve always wanted to stay consistent with that idea that sometimes keeps you up at night, I wrote this book for you.
Whether it’s content creation, writing, business, fitness, or simply becoming the person you know you can be, you’ll find the principles inside helpful.
I’m still putting finishing touches to the book. And it’ll be released in less than 30 days. But if you preorder now at the early reader price, you’ll be among the first people to read it when it drops.
So if you’ve always wanted to:
1
